Deacons

Alan Tango

As a Deacon, my role is to maintain the church building and its surrounding grounds. As Jesus served, I believe we are called to serve one another. By profession, I’m a licensed plumber. In my spare time, I enjoy Kayaking, fishing and bird watching.

As a Deacon, my role is to lead the Benevolence group, which consists of great servants from our midst.  Our group focuses on discerning the needs of brothers and sisters in need, inside and outside of our congregation.  God has blessed me with time to give, and I believe that the giving of your time can be the most important gift you can give a person.  Serving the Lord is an honor, and I am a very blessed man, being able to serve at Riverview in Pastoral Care, and as the office administrator at Monmouth.

This church has been a loving church family over the years and a great place to fellowship.  Being bilingual allows me the opportunity to teach a Spanish Bible study on Sunday mornings.  In my free time I enjoy outdoor activities with my family as well as home improvement projects.  I work as a pool technician.   My wife Natasha partners with me in serving at Monmouth and in bringing up our two children.
